I'm assuming I don't need to transfer any payroll info since it should already be there?

Let me share some information on how the payroll feature works, pnwpm.

Take note that the payroll feature is an add-on service in QuickBooks Online. Once you cancel your QBO plan, all the add-on services will also be canceled. This means you won't be able to run your payroll anymore.

If you're no longer using QBO, you may cancel your plan. After that, you'll still have read-only access to your data for a year after the cancellation. I'd recommend exporting the reports that you might need in the future.

Once done, you'll want to subscribe to our new stand-alone payroll lineup. Keep in mind that payroll data from your previous QuickBooks company won't be carried over. You'll have to manually reenter them again in the program.
