Question

I have added a new employee 7/3 to be paid 7/2.How do I go about paying her. The computer keeps asking for set up. what does that mean?

I'd like to help and make sure you can process your payroll in QuickBooks Online.

 

Since you've already added two of your employees you need to make sure you've entered all necessary information. QuickBooks will also send an invitation to your employee for them to enter their personal information.

 

For prior payroll set up, if you don't have paychecks created yet:

 

  1. Go back to Payroll and select Finish adding your team.
  2. Choose the employee.
  3. Scroll down and select Enter [current year] prior pay details.
