Thank you for visiting the Community, @accountingmanage2. I'm happy to help you get the SUI rate entered with the effective date of 01.01.22.

If you received a notice from the state agency, you can directly go to the Payroll Settings and update the rate and date there. I can walk you through the steps of how you can change them.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Payroll Settings under Your Company.
  2. Next to the state you want to update, select the Edit ✎ icon.
  3. In the State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) Setup section, select Change or add new rate.
  4. Enter your new rate and its effective date and click OK.

I'm adding snapshots below for your reference:

You can find the detailed steps for State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rate in QuickBooks or Intuit Payroll  in this article. This includes the process depending on the payroll service you have.

For future reference, QuickBooks has several ready-made payroll reports that you can open to view your employee data and monitor your business finances. This contains a list of reports and an overview of what data they display.

If there's anything else I can do to further assist you in updating your SUI rates, please post a response below. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Take care.
