Hi, lpiranio.

I'll share information about utilizing the class tracking feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to assign it to each pay type for your employee.

Please know how we can track classes for payroll transactions in QBO payroll is limited. Either assign the same class to all employees or different classes to each employee. Thus, we're unable to go down to the pay type level.

That said, you can send this suggestion to our Product Development Team. They can be able to review this recommendation and might be able to add it to future product enhancements. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your feedback Suggestion.
  3. Press Next.

You can track the progress of our feature request by visiting our Feedback forum page. The more requests this gets, the more likely it'll be part of the additional features.

In addition, you can learn more about running payroll by checking out this article: Create and run your payroll.

If you have any further questions or concerns about the class tracking feature or other payroll tasks, please know that you can always tag my name. I'm here to help you in any way I can. Enjoy your day.
