Welcome to the Community, @info1979. We'll help you finish your payroll tasks inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before we dig deeper into your concern, may I ask if you still have an active QBO and Payroll subscription? An active subscription is required to continue payroll and other business activities before closing the company. Otherwise, you can only view your data because of the Read Only Access.

In case you don't have one, we'll help you resubscribe. These are the steps:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. On the top-right corner, click the Gear icon and then select Subscriptions and billing.
  3. For your QuickBooks plan, select Resubscribe, and enter the updated billing info.
  4. Select Subscribe.

For more details, please see this page: Resubscribe to or reactivate QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can finish running payroll inside your company. You can visit this article for more information: Create and run your payroll.

Also, can you tell us more about the other tasks you'd like to accomplish inside your company? This way, we can provide the necessary steps to help you achieve them.

In addition to that, once you've finished your business activities, know you'll need to cancel or close out your subscription to avoid getting charged for not using them. We're giving you these articles to help you manage your subscription and get a copy of your business data from QBO:

Thank you for using QuickBooks to manage the recording side of your business, @info1979. Feel free to visit the Community if you have any additional concerns or need further assistance finishing payroll duties and other tasks inside the program. Keep safe, and have a good one.

You can also convert your data to a QB Desktop file format and use the trial version to access your historical data for good.
