Greetings, @landquestinvestm.  We understand how this pending charge in your account for a month confuses you and why it's still showing. Let me share insights about where this comes from and route you to the best help with this concern.

Before anything else, we'd like to know if you're referring to QuickBooks Online (QBO), or QuickBooks Payments. If it's QBO what specific charge you're implying?

If it's QuickBooks Payments, there's a pending charge called Authorization hold (also called card authorization, preauthorization, or pre-auth) a banking industry that practices authorizing electronic transactions made with a debit card or credit card, and there will be a pending charge until the merchant clears the transaction (also called settlement), or the hold "falls off" and makes the balance available again. There's more to this if you read this article: About double or pending charges on your bank account or credit card.

However, since it's about a month of pending charges without a clear understanding of it, we recommend contacting Merchant or Payments Live support to help you look into it and explain to you why the pending charge won't go away.

Here's how to contact them if you're in the QBO Payments & Merchant Service Center:

  1. Select Help (?) at the top right.
  2. Select or type Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Ask the community to get help from businesses like yours.
    • Start a chat with a support expert.

If you're using stand-alone QuickBooks Payments, you can directly click this link to direct you to support: Chat with us.
