Question

I have previously used the automated tax payment option for my monthly 941 payments. I can no longer do this. How can I fix this?

Hi there, Thomas. I'll ensure you can automate your tax payments and form filings.

 

I recommend checking your Payroll settings to check if the Automated Taxes Payment option is enabled. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Payroll Settings.
  2. In the Taxes and forms section, select Edit.
  3. Mark the Automate taxes and forms checkbox.

  4. Select how you plan on making your tax payments and filings.
    • I'll initiate payments and filings using QuickBooks.
      • We’ll let you know when your tax payments and form filings are due. You'll see reminders in your payroll to do list. When you're ready to pay or file your payroll taxes, see the steps in Pay and file payroll taxes online.
    • I'll pay and file the right agencies through their website or by mail.
  5. Select Save.

 

Additionally, make sure your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll subscription is active. You can contact our Customer Care Support team for help in reactivating the service.
