Hello, kahandler-me-com.

I'd like to make sure we're on the same page. Are you trying to run payroll in QuickBooks? If so, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Payroll > Employees.
  2. Click on the Run payroll button.
  3. Choose a pay schedule, then Continue.
  4. Select the employees you want to pay.
  5. Verify if you have selected the correct bank account, pay period, and pay date. You can also modify them as needed. Change employee's pay method as needed.
  6. Enter hours worked if applicable. TIP: you can hide or show pay types by selecting the Settings ⚙ icon below the TOTAL PAY.
  7. Click Preview Payroll. To edit or preview a specific check, select the pencil icon next to the check's net pay, then hit OK when done.
  8. When you're ready, select Submit payroll.
  9. You're all set! To print paychecks, select Print paychecks, then Finish payroll.

You can also watch the video tutorial in this article: Process or run payroll.

No.  'P&L" is the abbreviated term for "Profit and Loss."
