I'm trying to run a report to show the amount of hrs worked per pay period for the past year by employee. I can only find total hours worked. We don't use timesheet

I use quickbooks online and we don't use the timesheet function.  I manually enter the hours worked each pay period for payroll.

Running into issues while finding a specific report isn't easy especially when managing your payroll, rebv. Let's work together to generate a report that shows the hours worked by each employee during each pay period.

 

Consider that by entering hours manually and not using the timesheet function, we can customize a Payroll Details report to show each employee's information. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu, and from the Find report by name, type Payroll Details report.
  2. Filter the specific date range of the report.
  3. Hover to the Customize feature under the Export button to tick the necessary fields.
  4. Click Run report.

 

From there, you can see the details of the hours per period for the past year of each employee's information.

 

Moreover, you can also run the Payroll Summary by Employee report and filter the date range to see the total hours of employees.
