Question

I'm updating my payroll for 2024, and I cannot change the direct deposit amount to another amount or a percentage. The changes will not save. What am I missing?

Hi GMEllis,

Are you referring to the pay rate of your employee? Is there an error or it's just not saving the new rate?

If there's a pending direct deposit, you can't can't the rate. Wait for it to be offloaded, and that when you can change the rate. Payrolls with incorrect rate or data can be voided before 3 PM PT.

To delete a direct deposit payroll so you can change the rate and resubmit your payroll:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu on the left panel to select Employees.
  2. Click the Paycheck list link under Run Payroll.
  3. Set the correct date in the Date Range drop-down and press the Run Report button.
  4. Tick the box of the paycheck you want to remove.
  5. Put a checkmark on the I understand that this action cannot be undone and further action is required box.
  6. Hit the Delete Paycheck button to confirm the action.

You can do the browser troubleshooting steps like signing to QuickBooks using an incognito or private browser. Then, if it works, you can clear your cached data, or try a different browser if it isn't.
