I manually file my end of year taxes as my company is only 3 people. How do I get rid/archive the "action needed, file w-2" reminders on quickbooks online?

I can provide a way to get rid of the task reminder for your W-2, @office300.

 

We can archive the W-2 Form to clear notifications. However, some are only removed if you're filing with QuickBooks. Otherwise, they will fall off from your Tasks section after six months.

 

To proceed, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Taxes, then Payroll Tax.
  2. Select the Filings tab.
  3. Next to the tax form you want to save or archive, click File.
  4. Choose the period, then Archive.

 

Once done, you can proceed to Step 2: View the form under QuickBooks Online Payroll. Use this guide: View your previously filed tax forms and payments.

 

Furthermore, you may save this guide if you need to make an amendment: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.
