Question

I need to add our S-Corp owners health insurance to fields 1 & 14 in Quickbooks online payroll. It doesn't let you do it directly, is there a work around for this?

I asked the chat feature people and they said they could add it, but that it would take 30 days. That's past when they're due.

I can share some information about adding your S-Corp owner's health insurance to your W-2, @ale-handtinterna

The S-Corp owner's health insurance is for accident or health benefits provided to 2% shareholders of an S corporation. It'll be reported on Box 1 and Box 14. To check for other ways on how to add this information on the W-2, I suggest reaching back to our Customer Support team. They have the tools to add these details in your account in a safe and secure environment.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help icon to connect to a live support agent.
  2. Select the Search tab and click on the Contact Us button.
  3. Select a topic for your concern in the What can we help you with? section.
  4. You'll now be provided options on how to connect to our Customer Support.

You can check this article for more information about the different types of support we offer and their availability: QuickBooks Online Support.

Please check this article how QuickBooks Online populates the boxes on the IRS Form W-2: W2 form boxes explained.

Let me know if you need further help with your Form W-2. I'm always here to assist. Have a wonderful day!

I was told by QB payroll support that they now consider this a change, and it has to be done by” back office “ which will take 30-45 days.  WHO HAS THAT KIND OF TIME AT TAX TIME??
