Question

I need to delete or edit the date of my last payroll (10 paychecks, changing from 6/14 to 6/2). QBO says I must contact support bc I already paid payroll taxes. Help?

It's on the Paycheck list that I've tried the down-arrow on the far right to either Delete or Edit the paychecks. That's when I get the message that I am not allowed to do that but must instead contact support. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Greetings, danny-and-tori.

Yes, you'll need to contact our Customer Care team to delete or Edit the paychecks in QuickBooks Online. And I'm here to ensure you'll get the assistance you need to resolve your concern.

I'll share the steps with you on how you can get a phone support representative. Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

To ensure that you'll be assisted immediately, I recommend checking our support hours before performing the steps.

To know more about what can and can't be edited on a paycheck in QBO, you may check out this article: Edit or delete paychecks in Online Payroll.

Please keep in touch if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed with QuickBooks. I've got your back. Have a great day.
