It's a pleasure to have you in the Community today, @mike436. I've got you covered, and I'll help you eliminate the Create another check hyperlink you see when running payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO) so you can proceed to run this week's payroll.

Before we start, I'd like to share that QuickBooks remembers the previous pay period and pay date you entered the last time you created payroll. To get through this, you'll have to set a different Pay period and Pay date for you to be able to run this week's payroll.  I'll gladly input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, select the Payroll tab.
  3. In the Employees section, click the Run payroll button.
  4. Select the account where the pay comes from, and then input your present week's pay period and pay date.
  5. Enter the necessary information in each field.
  6. Once you're ready, click the Preview payroll button below.
  7. Double check the details, and then click the Submit payroll button once you're done.

In addition, here's an article in case you'd like to add your employees' pay in your setup: Add pay history to QuickBooks Online Payroll.

@mike436, if you need further assistance with your payroll in QuickBooks. Know that I've got your back and that you can mention me in the comment section below so I can help you out again. Take care, and enjoy the rest of the week.
