I need to enter a different number in for workers comp because I add my hours as a non-employee owner. How can I make that change?

Because I’m not an employee, QB doesn’t know my hours to calculate workers comp accurately. I can’t add myself as an employee because it will pay me $0.01per hour.

Hello there, @mcordering. I'm here to share information with regards to your concern and will help you with how to resolve it.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the option to change a different number for workers comp as non-employee is unavailable. You'll need to be added as an employee and subscribe to the payroll service. That way, you can change a different number for workers comp.

You can also look for a third-party payroll app that integrates with QBO if you don't want to avail the Payroll service.
