I noticed I am missing a payroll check how do I enter the check

I usually do direct deposit. I made a paper check but I don't know if I made a mistake in entering it because I do not see it in the payroll check list. Can I go back and enter it?

I'd like to share some information about creating paycheck in QuickBooks Online.

 

There are possible reasons why you're missing a paycheck in the paycheck list. First, you need to make sure the filtered range of the pay date is a week earlier and the name of the employee is included.

 

It's also possible that you've mistakenly chosen or clicked the button to Save for later. I'd recommend running the payroll again to see if it shows the same details as the missing paycheck.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. In the left pane, go to Payroll menu.
  2. Choose the Employees section.
  3. Select Run payroll button.
