I paid an employee for too many hours via direct deposit. Can I retrieve those funds prior to the next pay period?

If you have overpaid an employee through direct deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO), then it is not possible to retrieve those funds directly from the employee's bank account. However, you can coordinate with the employee to retrieve the overpaid amount. 

One way to do this is by deducting the excess amount from their next paycheck, but this should be done with their consent and in compliance with legal regulations. Alternatively, you can arrange for the employee to repay the excess amount directly.
