For QuickBooks Online Standalone Payroll, you can go to the Payroll settings page and set up the export preferences.
Here's how:
Go to the Gear > Payroll Settings.
In the Export section, click the Pencil icon on the right to edit.
From the Export preferences page, choose QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. Then, click Continue.
Map and review the accounts, and hit Done.
Once done, you can either go to the Payroll settings or open the Paycheck list page to export the file to your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
To export from the Paycheck list page, you can follow these steps:
On the left panel, click Payroll > Overview.
Click the View paycheck list link.
Put a check mark on the paychecks you want to export.
Select the Export to Accounting button. This will download an IIF file, which you can import to your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
