Question

I set up my direct deposit for my employees, but only 1 out of 3 is scheduled to be direct deposit. It looks like it will be in a check for the other two. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Community space, @birdymojo. Allow me to share some details about the direct deposit for your employees.

There are possible reasons why only 1 of the employees is scheduled for direct deposits:

  • Bank Account Verification: Make sure the bank accounts for those employees are verified. Sometimes, the bank account verification process can take a few days.
  • Paycheck Date: If the direct deposit was set up recently, the paycheck date may fall outside the direct deposit lead time. Direct deposits typically require a lead time of at least a few business days.
  • Paycheck Preferences: Check the paycheck preferences for those employees to ensure direct deposit is the preferred payment method.
  • Bank Account Limitations: Verify if any limitations or issues with the employees' bank accounts might prevent direct deposit.

I recommend reviewing the direct deposit setup for the affected employees, ensuring that all bank account information is accurate and up to date, and confirming that direct deposit option is selected for their pay method. If everything checks out, please contact our QuickBooks support for further assistance.

Additionally, you can run a payroll report to get a closer look at your business finances.
