I set up payroll and got a message stating my company email was changed. Can you help me verify everything is in order?

I'm here to take care of your concern today, William.

To get started, I recommend checking out the email information from the Accounts and Settings window. This way, you can review the current email address associated with your account.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then click on Accounts and Settings.
  3. Tap on Billing & Subscription at the left pane.
  4. Check your company email from the Contact info section. If necessary, you can update the information from there.
  5. Hit Save, then Done.

If there are changes made to your email, you may check it from the Audit Log report.

  1. Click on the Audit log from the Gear icon.
  2. Check the user who has made changes to your account's or company's settings.

If you can't trace the changes, you may seek help from our QBO Support Team. A live representative can access your account securely and verify the message you've received. To contact support:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Help  menu.
  3. Select either tab to get started:
    • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still choose to Talk to a human.
    • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
      • Start a chat with a support expert.
      • Get a callback from the next available expert.

Support is open from Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 6 AM PT and Saturday from 6 AM to 3 PM PT.

Once done, you can review the topics from this link for more tips about setting up and managing payroll: Help on common payroll topics.
