I'm here to help you fix your Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) setup, TLynn.

If you are trying to change your PFML insurance premiums, we can click the Change or add new rate link on the Payroll Settings page. I'll show you how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Choose Payroll Settings.
  3. Select the State Taxes.
  4. Scroll down to the Paid Family Medical and Leave Premium ER item.
  5. From the drop-down menu, select the rate corresponding to your responsibility from the Employee & Employers rate section above.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend signing in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private or incognito window. This doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us determine if this is a browser-related issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once logged in, try editing the details again. If it works, let's clear the browser's cache to ensure the program performs efficiently. Otherwise, you can use other supported browsers. They also provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.

In case none of this fixes the problem, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to check the cause. It'll also allow them to assist you in setting up the PFML correctly.

Once everything is settled, you can confidently run your payroll in the future.
