Hi there, papicella.

I can provide details on how you can delay your Federal tax payment in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll.

If you have manually submitted your Federal tax payment, you can delete the tax payment from your account to delay the payment and recreate it for a later date. Follow these steps to delete the tax payment:

  1. Navigate to the Taxes menu.
  2. Choose Payroll tax.
  3. Click the View tax payments you have made under Payment History.
  4. Select the Date Range of the payment.
  5. Click the Tax Payment, then select Delete payment.
  6. Select Yes, delete.

On the other hand, if the tax payment was made electronically. I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team or the IRS to avoid penalties.

Furthermore, I've included this guide so you can keep track of your payroll tax payments and forms made in your payroll account: View your previously filed tax forms and payments.

I'll be around if you have additional concerns or queries about submitting or delaying your tax payments in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
