I tried to do payroll today - May 29

I'd be pleased to share some insights about running payroll in QuickBooks, @Rydjor.

The issue you're experiencing happens when you create payroll outside your regular pay schedule. You'll want to follow these steps below to process unscheduled payroll:

1. Select Employees, then Pay Employees and select from the check types Unscheduled Payroll.
2. Verify the Pay Period Ends date, Check Date, and QuickBooks Bank Account.
3. Select the employees you want to pay, then enter hours using the grid, or select Open Paycheck Detail.
4. Select Save & Next to go to the next employee, or select Save & Close to go back to the Enter Payroll Information window.
5. Click Continue, then review the Check/Direct Deposit printing options.
6. Verify the amounts for each employee, and select Create Paychecks.
7. Print paychecks and print pay stubs now or later if desired.

Should you have QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted or direct deposit paychecks, send your payroll information and direct deposit paychecks to Intuit.
