Question

I used the wrong account when I recorded Payroll. It says I need to contact QB. Can I fix this without calling them? TIA

Instead of using the Checking account, it was defaulted to the Cash account. I voided the check thinking that would allow me to fix it, but it didn't.

It looks like you're subscribed to our Full-service version, Trevinopowered-g. You'll have to reach out to our payroll support to make some changes.

 

Let me walk you through the steps:

  1. Click Help inside QuickBooks Online.
  2. Enter "I need a human" in the Type something field.
  3. Click Get help from a human.
  4. Enter "Change bank account" in the description field, then click Continue.
  5. Select either Chat or Callback.

However, if you have the Enhanced payroll, you can edit the payroll preference without contacting support.
