If an employee's DOB had a typo, and W2 are archived already for 2019, how do I get a corrected W2 for this employee?

Glad to see you again, @laura-shelly.

When there's a mistake on an already-filed W-2 form, you can still amend it by filing a Form W-2 c. However, since you'll only change the DOB, it'd be best to consult the IRS first to check if they can correct this information.

If the IRS confirmed that you'll need to file an amendment form, you can refer to this article for the outlined steps: Correct or amend W-2 forms.

Good morning, Hellen2.

Thank you for joining this thread. I'm here to make sure you're able to move forward with your work in QuickBooks Online without the error appearing.

To rule out any browser related issues, I recommend clearing the cache first. The cache is in place to collect frequently used data to make loading web pages quicker and easier. If it gets too full, there can be adverse reactions that cause certain viewing and performance errors in QuickBooks. Clearing the cache will remove whatever is causing the system to get hung up. Here's how to do this if you're using the Chrome browser for example:

1. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
2. Select More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.
3. Change the time range to All Time.
4. Only check Cached images and files.
5. Click Clear data.

The following article provides similar steps if you're using a different browser: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online

Once you've cleared the browser cache, give the transaction you're working on one more try. Please let know how things look afterward. I'll be here if you need assistance with anything else.
