Hello, drjrfrwr.

I'd like to shed some light on letting your wife use your Intuit or Self-Employed account.

Yes, both you and your wife can use your Intuit or QuickBooks Self-Employed account to manage the business.

We would want to make sure to enable the Joint Filing option in your Tax profile. This ensures that both of you will have a shared filing during tax time. Here's how to enable it:

  1. In your QuickBooks Self-Employed account, click the gear icon menu.
  2. Select Tax profile.
  3. Ensure the Marital status is set to Married.
  4. Select Yes under Filing jointly? to toggle the joint filing.
  5. Add or change other tax settings.
  6. Once done, click Save

You and your wife can now start entering transactions and categorizing them for the next tax period.

If you have a TurboTax account and want to send your Self-Employed data, I'll add these articles for a guide:

In case you need a guide in filing and paying your estimated taxes, I'll also include this article: Pay federal estimated quarterly taxes in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'll be around if you have more questions about managing your tax profile in the Self-Employed platform. Do you need help categorizing transactions or running some reports?

Let me know and I'll gladly lay down some guides. I'll see you again soon.
