Question

If your quarterly payroll tax is less than what was calculated by QB, how do you adjust for that when QB does not allow you to change the amount to record?

Thanks for reaching out to us, sandy92.

I understand how important it is to adjust quarterly payroll taxes to match up with your tax agency. I can route you to the best support available to ensure that everything is taken care of accordingly.

The option to adjust payroll tax liabilities isn't possible in QuickBooks Online Payroll. I suggest contacting our Payroll Correction Team to correct the amount. I'll show you how.

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Select Talk to a human.
  3. Enter a brief description of your concern.
  4. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. Choose either Chat with us or Have us call you.

Please check our support hours to ensure your assisted in a timely manner.

You might run payroll reports in QBO. This will allow you to view important information about your company, payroll taxes, and employees.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know. Have a great day.
