The recent changes with intuit payroll and tsheets have killed some basic functionality we need for time tracking, so i am looking for another time tracking solution.  I found one that doesn't integrate with QBO but can produce a CSV export of a timesheet.

How can I import a timesheet into quickbooks online?

Thanks for sharing your concern with us, @dan543.

I'd suggest using an importer tool to upload your timesheets into QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks supports various third-party applications for any functionality you may need. To see if there's an app that can help you accomplish this, head to the Intuit App Center. Then, type a keyword in the search bar.

You can follow these steps:

  1. On the left panel, click Apps.
  2. Go to the Find Apps tab.
  3. Use the search bar to look for an app.

What kind of business do you run? There are some 3rd party time tracker app supporting QBO.

If the app doesn't support QBO, you may prepare the Time Activity data with the following template

TxnDateNameTimeStartTimeEndTimeDescriptionBillableStatusCustomerServiceItemHourlyRateTaxableClassLocation
01/10/2020Mike's Traders5  Sample Time Activity using hours and decimal Janice JohnsonHours
01/10/2020Eagle Outfitters4.5  Sample Time Activity using hours only Janice JohnsonHours
01/10/2020Mary Smith0.5  Sample Time Activity using hours and minutesBillableJanice JohnsonENG Svs:12075FALSE

then utilize an importer tool.
