Question

In the last few months is anyone experiencing the last two or 3 paychecks do not print ? I print 55 checks every week for years and now I have to watch because the last ones don't print but are listed as printed.

I have updated the Quickbooks,   the printer has not changed and nothing about the way we do payroll has changed.   QB shows checks printed but actually the last 2 or 3 do not print.   What happened in QB that changed at the last update?   Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, calconst.

I see how this printing problem (paychecks) has impacted your working time. Let's print the transactions using a sample file to test if the issue is your QuickBooks or the company file. I'm here to ensure the process is a breeze for you.

Here's how:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Press CTRL on your keyboard and select QuickBooks. Don’t let go of CTRL until QuickBooks opens.
  3. Choose Open a Sample file.

Once logged in, perform the action stated above. For detailed instructions, proceed directly to Step 2 in this article and choose QuickBooks Desktop PayrollPrint or reprint paychecks and pay stubs.

If this works, run the Verify and Rebuild Data Utilities. These built-in tools will repair the company file and fix any unusual behavior you encounter in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

If none of these suggestions work, launch the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool to resolve your concern. This reference will walk you through the step-by-step process: Fix printing issues in QuickBooks Desktop. From there, proceed directly to Solution 4

Here are some links that will walk you through the process of fixing email or PDF issues, and updating the old QBPrint.qbp file, and handling any accounting or payroll-related tasks:

Keep me posted below if you have additional questions about printing paychecks or need further assistance with any QuickBooks-related tasks, @calconst. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Have a good one.
