My main goal is to ensure your transition to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is seamless, SMcMichael. I'm here to lay down a few suggestions to help you fix the error message you encountered when entering your previous payroll.

The issue occurs when the browser you utilize stores excessive cached data to load web pages faster. Over time, it can lead to problems that cause QuickBooks' performance to degrade and affect the account's functionality.

To fix this, I recommend accessing QBO via a private window. It'll help us determine whether this is a cache-related issue. Incognito mode doesn't save your browsing history and doesn't accumulate cache, which is a great place to verify the exact cause of the error. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once logged in, enter the payroll history again. If everything works smoothly, clear the browser's cache. Doing so improves system performance, fixes program problems, and frees storage space. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific problem.

Once you're all set, you can explore the following resources to assist you in effortlessly managing your payroll transactions and employees' profiles:

Would you like assistance in managing and learning how payroll works in QBO? Or do you need to work on projects, vendors, reports, and sales entries? Let me know, and I'll help you some more.
