Intuit Online Payroll

I am currently using Intuit Online Payroll. I'd like to migrate all of my employee profiles (personal information, wages, tax info, etc) into Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise. How can I export the data from Online Payroll into Quickbooks Desktop? I have exported it into an Excel file, but I'm not able to import it into Quickbooks Desktop.

You'll need to convert your Excel file into an IIF file. This can be done by saving your Excel document in the .IIF format which is compatible with QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Once your file is converted, you can import it into your QBDT account.

Here's how:
 
  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Navigate to the File menu, then Utilities.
  3. Select Import, then Import IIF.
  4. Choose the IIF file you want to import, then select Open. Check your downloads folder to locate the.IIF file.
  5. Select OK.

You will have difficulty converting your payroll data. I would recommend converting your data from QB Online Payroll to a third-party payroll application and integrating it with QB Desktop. They can help convert your data.
