Question

Is anyone else not able to update employee direct deposit info? When I click on the edit icon I just get a green circle that spins and nothing happens.

It could be a browser's issue, @janderson4. Let's work together to fix the green circle that spins when you update your employees direct deposit info.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) uses cache to remember frequently-visited websites to load pages faster and improve your browsing experience. However, these files become corrupted over time and can lead to unusual QBO responses.

To fix this, let's refresh your browser first. To do this, click the Reload icon beside the QuickBooks URL or press CTRL F5 on your keyboard.

If it doesn't work, let's use a private or incognito browser so we can isolate this issue. Private mode prevents blocking cache and cookies from saving in your browser.

Here are the shortcut keys you can use to access one:

  • Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari

Once login, try to update your employee direct deposit info. If this works, you can clear your regular browser's cache so the system can start fresh. But if you get the same results while using a private browser, use a different browser app instead.

You can refer to the following article for more information about managing your employees' direct deposit: Set up direct deposit for employees.

I'm also adding these resources about direct deposit. This will guide you on how you can pay your employees with direct deposit into their checking, savings, pay card, or money market accounts:

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help and provide you with additional assistance. Have a good one, @janderson4.
