Question

Is Intuit QuickBooks proud of being one of the most untrustworthy companies, preventing loyal clients from paying employees on time? QuickBooks' poor handling of overdraft situations and placing unjust holds on accounts is unacceptable!

Intuit QuickBooks has severely disrupted my business by placing an unjust five-day hold on my payroll services due to a first-time minor overdraft, which was resolved the same day. This delay has left my company unable to pay employees, causing devastating strain on my business relationships. Despite resolving the issue, QuickBooks continues to impose unfair fees and delays, showing a complete disregard for the real-world impact on their users—acting heartlessly and driven by greed (SICK!).

Regardless: We are in the process of dropping them like the terrible, expensive habit they are!

This is not an isolated case. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently ruled Intuit guilty of deceptive advertising regarding its "free" tax products, damaging its reputation further. Intuit must fix these practices and improve customer service to prevent future disruptions.

Does anyone else have similar experiences with QuickBooks? How have you dealt with these issues? They need a strong message...who is ready to drop them like a terrible habit and save money?

We hear your concerns and we greatly appreciate your feedback, Customer. I'm here to provide information about the hold you received.

A five-day hold will be placed on your payroll services, as we will need to redebit your account on the same day we receive the notice from your bank. This hold is necessary to ensure that the redebit is processed correctly.

  • If the redebit is successful, you don't need to do anything more.
  • If the redebit fails, see the options below to pay your balance due. Please note that we don't accept cash, checks, or Western Union.
  • If you need to run your payroll before the 5 banking days are up, see the two options below to remove the hold faster. Please note that we may not be able to stop the automatic redebit.

The first option is to use a wire transfer. The Primary Officer or Principal on your account will need to initiate this process. We will lift the hold within one banking day of receiving the wire transfer.

To proceed:

  1. Refer to the wire transfer instructions in the email from us.
  2. Visit your bank branch with these instructions and request a wire transfer while you wait.

The second option is to use Versapay. If the Principal Officer or Primary Principal isn't available, or wire transfers aren't an option, contact us to request a link to pay with Versapay.

Please refer to this article for more details: Resolve a non-sufficient funds (NSF) hold on your payroll service.
