Question

Is there a way to add salary wages to a salaried employee's paycheck? We skipped a few payrolls and want to catch up at end of year so salary amount matches W2/wages paid.

Ex: Total annual salary is $36,000, but we skipped 3 months in the summer, so how can I add the missing $9,000 to this last paycheck? I can only seem to add as a bonus. Would prefer it to show as salary on paystub.

Hello amymommy3, I hope you're having a good day! I'm happy to assist with the payroll question you have.

For now, there's no option to directly edit the salary in the paycheck to make up for the previous months.

However, can temporarily adjust the salary figure in the employee's profile to reflect the higher catch-up amount when you create the next paycheck. This will allow you to pay them the extra owed wages for previous months. Just make sure to change their salary back to the normal rate after paying the catch-up paycheck.

Let me show you the steps:

  1. Go to the employee's profile and click Edit in the Pay types section.
  2. Proceed to the Salary field and edit the amount.
  3. Click Save and proceed to creating the paycheck.
