Is there a way to change the employees username?

I'm here to provide information on how to change employee username, Fabio.

 

After adding an employee to your QuickBooks account, please know that you won't be able to modify their username. However, the employee can update their username at any time. Therefore, only the employee can change their information, and once they do, it will automatically reflect in your account.

 

You can provide these steps to your employees so they can make the changes for you. 

 

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager. 
  2. From the left navigation panel, select the Sign in & security.
  3. Select the User ID and make your changes.
  4. Once done, click Save

 

Moreover, you can create codes for time off and manage role permissions in QuickBooks Time. For more information on how to set this up, refer to this article: Time Off and Role Permissions.

Hi ShyMae, thanks for the reply but this is not exactly what I need, this username Im talking about is the one we see when Im using some forms on qb times, Im attaching a screenshot and you can see it. Thanks.

I recognize how beneficial it is for you and your business to have the option to edit your employee's username beside their Display Name. However, the option to change or update it is currently unavailable. Having this feature would be great, as it will help you seamlessly view your employees' names. That said, I recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development Team so they can review it and might consider implementing it in the future.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Log into your QuickBooks Time account.
  2. Click the ? icon at the upper-right and choose Suggest idea.
  3. Enter and describe your idea, then select Send Idea.
