You should cut a paper check if possible. Record it as Employee Advance, a current asset. Then post the repayment as a deduction in next payroll.

Or you may be able to run an unscheduled payroll for 1 employee if it is to be direct deposit. Keep in mind that if you simply issue the paycheck a week earlier you will owe tax deposits a week earlier as well.
