Is there anything that can be done to turn off the advertisements. I don’t want the todo list. I don’t want to setup anything addition. QuickBooks is slowing down.

The To-do list is there to remind users of things to be done in QuickBooks. Currently, there is no setting to stop the program from displaying it. If you see a close (X) button, you can click on it to remove a reminder from the list.

Regarding the performance issue, you can get rid of it if you have a strong internet connection and your computer meets the system requirements.
