Manual Payroll Deductions

When we run payroll we have to go into each check and enter in payroll deductions and save them. These deductions are things like meals etc that can change each week. Is there an easier way to do this that we might be overlooking?

You can set up deduction items on employee profiles. If you need to remove a deduction item from a worker, you can also do so from their profile.

 

Here's how:
 

  1. In your left navigation bar, go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Find an employee and click their display name.
  3. From the Deductions & contributions section, hit Start or Edit.
  4. Use your Trash Bin icon next to the deduction you'd like to remove.
  5. Select Delete, then Done.

 

I can certainly understand how an easier ability to manage payroll deductions could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

 

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Feedback.
  2. Enter your suggestion(s) in the Have feedback? window.
  3. If necessary, attach a file with your Camera icon.
  4. Select Next.
