Mistake made QBO sent W-2 Did not think they could we file manually. QB's were incorrect due to switching to online

The w-2's have already filed manually Thought I was just archiving the forms.  The problem is QB is not correct.  When the switched to online things became very messed up.  The point is it needs to undone.  How can that be accomplished.

Let me discuss how Notifications work in QuickBooks, userdeb.burt. You can then remove it on the action needed by performing the details below.

 

If you have an incorrect W-2, fixing it depends on whether your automated taxes and forms setting is enabled. If it is, you'll need to contact us and request a correction. We will then file a W-2c form with the SSA and provide you and your employee with a copy of the corrected W-2c. You will also receive an updated W-3 copy for your records. Our experts will give you an approximate timeline for the arrival of the W-2c and W-3c.

 

However, if you manually filed your W-2, you can amend it manually as well. In this case, create and file a W-2c and W-3 form with the Social Security Administration manually. View the General Instructions for Forms W-2c and W-3c section in General Instructions for Forms W-2 and W-3 to proceed.

 

Please note that removing alerts from QuickBooks Online requires you to complete the necessary action. We cannot remove the alerts automatically without any action taken.
