I don't see it in the Payroll Forms section. How do I get it for him?

Thanks

I'll route you to the right support team who can provide the DE9 form, Linda S.

I recommend chatting with our Assisted Payroll Team. They have the tool to retrieve the DE9 form and guide you through the steps about pulling it up in QuickBooks.

Take the best care always and have a wonderful week ahead!

OK, wanted to follow up here for others that might have encountered the same problem.

To access the online Payroll Tax Center, go to this link: : https://payrolltaxcenter.intuit.com/ptc/termLogin.faces

Then log in with your EIN and payroll PIN. (Note, your EIN should not include the dash.)

The CA WH Quarterly Tax Return is the DE9 form.

Hello, Linda S. I can help you get the DE9 form.

You may view both manually and electronically filed forms in your filing history. Please also update the tax table in QuickBooks Desktop to ensure you have the most recent payroll tax forms.

Now, let's check under Filing History if the form appears. Here's how:

  1. Go back to the Employees menu and select Payroll Center.
  2. Click File Forms.
  3. Under Filing History, select Saved Filing or E-filing.
  4. In the Saved PDF column, choose the form to open the file.

Check this article to view or print other payroll tax forms in QuickBooks Desktop: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.

You can also read the year-end payroll checklist to prepare for the tax season.

If you have any additional queries about the following forms, please stay in touch with this thread. I'm available to help.

My Filed Forms window is empty, just like yours. Now what?

We appreciate you for joining the thread, @Linda S.

To view your filed forms window, you must first ensure that your payroll subscription is active. I'm here to help you with how to do it.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Employees.
  2. Select Payroll
  3. Then Manage Payroll Service key.

Refer to this article for more details: Get started with QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Once done, you must update your tax table to access the up-to-date payroll tax forms and e-pay options.

I also added this article to update your State Unemployment Insurance since it isn't part of the normal tax table:  Update your State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rate.
