I can help get your mileage tracked accurately, thorisingpapa.

Your device’s setting is a significant factor that can affect the performance of the mileage tracker in the QuickBooks application. To correct the information, make sure the auto-tracking is on in the QuickBooks mobile app.

Here are the steps to do it:

On iOS (iPhone and iPad)

  1. Select the Menu.
  2. Click All.
  3. Choose Mileage.
  4. Select Auto-track your miles.
  5. Follow Allow location access on-screen instructions.

On an Android phone or tablet

  1. Go to the Menu.
  2. Select Mileage.
  3. Turn on the Auto-tracking switch.
  4. Give QuickBooks permission to track your location. This will vary depending on your Android Operating System.

Then, review the general location settings on your device. Please ensure the app can run in the background so it won’t only track trips when it's open and active on your screen.

Furthermore, cut off your hotspot while driving. If it's connected, it can interfere with the trip recording accurately.
