Welcome to the Community space, @mmills1.

I'm here to share some steps in updating the schedule in your account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Please note that editing your pay schedule will depend on your QBO Payroll subscription. Let me guide you through the steps.

If you're using QuickBooks Online Payroll Full Service, Core, Premium, or Elite:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu and proceed to the Employees tab.
  2. Select the employee's name.
  3. Click Edit employee.
  4. Click the drop-down list for How often do you pay [employee]?. Then, select the pay schedule for the employee moving forward. Or, to create a new pay schedule, select Add new and fill out the appropriate fields.
  5. Click OK, then select Done.

For QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Proceed to the Payroll and Services section, then select Pay Schedules.
  3. Select Edit next to the pay schedule you want to edit.
  4. Update the pay schedule's info and click OK.

Additionally, if Auto Payroll is enabled, you will not be able to edit pay schedules since it will impact Auto Payroll timing. Thus, you'll need to disable the Auto Payroll first so you can make changes to your pay schedules.

Also, you can set up your company payroll for direct deposit to pay your employees and contractors conveniently.

Return to this post if you have other concerns about updating your pay schedules in QuickBooks Online. I'll be here to lend a hand.
