My "Run Payroll" has missed a payroll. The system has advanced to the next payroll without me processing the current payroll. Help?

When you missed a payroll in QuickBooks Online, you can run an unscheduled payroll using the actual pay date. I'll show you how:

1. Go to the  Payroll menu.
2. Select the Employees tab.
3. Click Run payroll, then select a pay schedule.
4. Review the bank account and pay period.
5. Change the pay date to the actual date you paid your employee.
6. Change the check type from direct deposit to paper check if that's how you paid them
7. Select the employees you'd like to pay.
8. Enter employee compensation, including any salary adjustments, vacation or sick hours, and other pay types.
9. Select Preview payroll, then Submit payroll.
10. When you're done, click Finish Payroll.
