Question

My TX C-3 Taxes are showing as completed but none of the money is making it from QBO to the state. How do I resolve this issue so that I can make sure my taxes are paid?

It shows that my C-3 taxes were archived but there is no file date to go with them. The state is not receiving any money from my company and I have had to manually pay my taxes for the past year. I thought QBO would allow me to file and pay these. They do for my other company. How do I resolve this to pay my taxes?

Let's ensure you've set up your payroll taxes to pay and file electronically, nimby45. I'll provide information to help you resolve your tax payments.

When setting up payroll taxes, QuickBooks provides electronic filing of TX C-3 Taxes. You'll need to make sure you're filing setup is enrolled for e-pay and e-file for this form.

Additionally, IRS and state agencies have different processing times for e-payments. You'll need to ensure sufficient funds are available when your payroll taxes are due and to create the tax payment. To help you set up payroll filings electronically, refer to these steps:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Payroll Settings.
  2. From the Taxes and Forms section, click Edit ✎.
  3. If you want to pay and file electronically in QuickBooks, select I’ll initiate payments and filings using QuickBooks.
  4. Then, click Save, and Done

Once enrolled for e-pay and e-file, please ensure you've authorized Intuit as a third-party administrator to help pay and file tax payments to the state on your behalf.
