My Unemployment Insurance (UI) rate is .2%. QB will not let me enter that rate. Says it must be at least 2.7%. How do I override this?

QuickBooks maintains a connection in every state to ensure the minimum rate is up-to-date in our system. We base it on the information they share as soon as there's an update from their end.

I recommend you check with your state agency and verify the updated UI. This way, you'll be able to make changes to your payroll preferences without getting an error.

Here's how:

1. Click the Help tab in the upper-right corner.
2. Go to the Assistant tab.
3. Click Get help from a human.
