Need help for recording Payroll in Canada

Good morning,

- I work for small start-up company as a junior book keeper, and I don't have any accounting experience

- I'm facing some problem with recording the payroll into the company's book

- I have all the number and the account, but I'm confused and don't know what account to record which number

If anyone know how please give me an advice. My company is from Quebec, Canada

I appreciate you for reaching out to us here in the Community, @Categen. I'm here to help you record your payroll entries in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Canada.

 

If you don't have an active payroll subscription and want to enter transactions manually, you can record your payroll through journal entries.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to the +New icon, then click on Journal Entry.
  3. Fill in the necessary information.
  4. Save the transaction.

 

With regards to the Debit and Credit entries, I recommend seeking assistance from a tax advisor or an accountant for accurate recording. They are the ones who can guide you in selecting the correct accounts with their corresponding amounts.
