No federal withholding taken out
Sounds like I am not the only one with this issue....
ALL THESE EMPLOYEES ARE ON SALARY FROM SEPTEMBER - JUNE. THEY ARE PAID THE SAME AMOUNT TWICE EACH MONTH.
- I have it set up to have an additional $25 deducted from each paycheck. QB Online Payroll deducted ONLY the additional $25, and no actual federal withholding. (The withholding was too little by at least $3200)
- The next employee is set to have an additional $10 deducted per pay period. Instead, the additional $10 was not deducted, and there was only $2.88 cents deducted per paycheck. (Off by around $1200)
- The next employee had ZERO withholding for the year! (Off by at least $2100)
- The next employee had some pay periods where nothing is withheld and some where too little was deducted. It was not consistent. (Off by at least $1000)
I called QB and was on the phone for almost 2 hours. I was sent a spreadsheet to fill out and send back. I told "Representative 1" who sent it that I would get it back ASAP. It ended up taking me 9 hours to complete the spreadsheet. I sent it back and received an email a couple of days later saying that my "Payroll Correction Request" was denied. WTF?? I called back to speak to someone and "Representative 2" was reading the notes aloud from my previous call. The notes she was reading were not at all accurate, or even factual. I spent around another 2 hours talking with "Representative 2". We finally disconnected the call after being on the phone for 2 hours and getting nowhere. “Representative 2” said she would call me the next day to see if they had made any progress. Another couple of hours on the phone and still, nobody knows what happened or why, and why it is continuing to happen.
I will not waste my time calling support to be asked the same questions over and over again and still have no answers as to why this happened and what they are going to do to make sure it never happens again.
