Question

No time was entered for a week, but the timesheet is still locked for editing. I can't reject and summary shows no time for this date range. How can I reopen?

Hello

Since the timesheet is locked you can edit this by using the Unlock Exported Time tool. I'm here to help you.

In addition, you can only open time up to 90 days in the past. Here's how to unlock time:

  1. In QuickBooks Time, go to the QuickBooks dropdown and select Unlock Exported Time.
  2. Choose a Start Date and an End Date.
  3. Select All employees to select which employees you want to unlock time for.
  4. Review the timesheets, then select Unlock Timesheets.
  5. In the notice that displays, select Confirm unlock.

Then you can follow Step 2 from this article to unapprove and edit the timesheet you unlocked: Unlock QuickBooks Time timesheets exported to QuickBooks

However, if you're already the Admin and the option is unavailable, you can chat with QuickBooks Time support to get help from an expert.

In addition, for future reference, learn how to approve, unapprove, or reject timesheets for QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Online: Approve, unapprove, and reject timesheets for QuickBooks Time
