Not able to see payroll or paycheck memo

I would like to see the memos I make on the payments I send out.

This is to help with bookkeeping later on.

I don't see this even under Reports although there is a check mark box to include memos.

The only option to see the memo on your employee's paycheck is to click it/them from the Paycheck list menu, oto1.

Please know that payroll-related reports in QuickBooks don't have a designated column for the paycheck's memo. What you can do is access each paycheck from the Paycheck list window to review the memo for each entry:

 

  1. Click the Paycheck list option from the Employees page.
  2. Locate and click the paycheck.
  3. The Memo field is visible at the bottom section of the page.

 

In this case, you can submit a feature request regarding this matter, which will be received and reviewed by our product developers. Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your feature recommendation in the designated field.
  4. Once done, click Next.
