Question

Notice that QB Workforce is going to email my employees...??? No!

I just received an email saying that Quickbooks Payroll is going to extract my employees' email addresses and send them emails about Workforce!  No!!!  That seems unethical to me.  How do I prevent QB from doing this?  I am going to remove all my employee email addresses right now, even though you've probably already got them. How do I opt out of this?

Thanks for letting us know about this, User456789.

Your safety is our top priority, and we'll help you check the email.

QuickBooks won't automatically take data and send it out to employees without the admin's consent.

Intuit uses different email addresses to communicate with its customers. If you've received one that you believe is from us, you may use the information on this link to check if it's legitimate: Official email communication from Intuit Payments

If the email you received looks suspicious, I'd recommend contacting our Support. This way, they can check the email you're getting and further investigate this.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect. Phone support may be limited due to volume.
